Hey there. Quick question. I have downloaded that software onto my laptop to try and see if it it will run it close to as well as my desktop. If I want to have it installed on both my desktop and laptop at the same time, would I need to buy a second license? I am not even sure the laptop will do a good job with it yet, but if it does, when I have other work to do, I will use it to do the rendering.
The license is per computer. You can move a license from one computer to another by changing the host name assigned to the license (on Log in required) and then activating it again.
No problem. That is what I thought. That said, I used it under trial to see if the laptop could run it. It could, but it took about 50% longer to do so +/- 32hrs. When it was finished I got an error that it was unable to combine all of the files and it failed. I would have to try to find the exact error if that doesn’t make sense to you. I believe it mentioned FFMPEG. Any ideas?
You can find the error in the log file. On Windows the log file is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\actionstitch.com\ActionStitch\actionstitch.log . On macOS, the log file is /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/actionstitch.com/ActionStitch/actionstitch.log .

Can you check if there is enough disk space?
I suppose that could be it. The laptop only has about 23gbs of storage left on its C drive, but I was running it on a 1tb HDD that had over 750gigs remaining. All of the files that were created as well as all of the files I was using to make the video were on the 1tb drive. It just didn’t assemble them into one long clip.
Can you try to stitch a much shorter video to see if the same error occurs. That is, select a last frame that is very close to the first frame.
I will give it a shot and let you know. How long are the trial licenses good for again? I installed in on that computer about 10-11 days ago.
The trial is 30 days. I’ll extend it for you if the issue doesn’t get sorted out in 30 days.
