GoPro Mounting Option

Will ActionStitch work if I use the SeeUsPlay Rig instead of 3d printing a mount?

I was wondering about a different scenario with seeusplay. Can videos be processed without their rig. Besdies having a 90 degree angle between the cameras, with their rig the cameras are also tilted down on the individual pedistals. Is that the same effect as being on a flat mount that is tilted?

Gilbert is great at answering questions and testing video. If you have files from the rig he will most likely test them to see if they work.

@stevenparish made a good point. Yes, seeusplay’s rig is somewhat different because the 2 cameras do not sit on the same plane. However, ActionStitch’s stitching algorithm should handle this situation without any issue – the 2 cameras can point at any 2 angles as long as there are enough overlap between them.

It does not seem to be able to properly stitch the SeeUsPlay. It is super tilted upon stitching

@gchen can you help us understand how to stitch using the SeeUsPlay rig? It is not picking it up

Can you share the videos with me so I can take a look? You can upload the videos to https://www.swisstransfer.com/ and send me the link via Private Message on this forum.

This is a sample since game videos are huge but angles are the same

The left video is 3840x2160 while the right one is 5312x2988. If they are the same cameras, then it means one was shoot at 4k while the other at 5.3k. It might be still possible to stitch, but at this time we don’t have the calibration data for GoPro 10’s 4k mode. It would be much easier to shot at the same mode for both cameras (5.3k, wide mode, HyperSmooth off).
