Hola and question

Been stalking for a little while here. Have used Trace the last year and a half and can’t say I’m happy with it…considering building a unit to try this out and transitioning over the spring for my 3 kids who are playing. This the budget camera recommended? 50% off on Prime Day. Was looking at GoPro 11s on EBay but was thinking this might be a better deal.

I don’t think this is the GAMSOD model I recommended. It seems to be a lower version which is probably not real 4K.

I’m curious about why you’re not happy with Trace. I have been using a single GoPro 11 camera for my son’s 7v7 and now 9v9. I used a wide angle lens 2.0 and it works great. Before that I had used 2 cameras and then ActionStitch but it was taking over 11-15 hours to stitch. And then Once.AutoCam for the ball tracking. The ball tracking takes about 20mins-1.5 hours. Now my son is on a team that has a Trace camera and so far the footage is not that bad, the quality on the GoPro is better. I’m really enjoying the sit back and enjoy the game, not lugging around the equipment or dealing with did I charge the batteries. Trace has made it much more affordable, $135/year.

$135/year is for one player, right? It looks like they require 7 players at least.

correct per player and they require 10 players, the renewable will be $150/player which comes with 4 family logins, its a couple of coffees per month.

Trace works well for 7v7 and 9v9, but all the added features become useless on an 11v11 field because the camera doesn’t have the resolution to read numbers for all the post-processing extras they advertise and use as a selling point. And the resolution on the 11v11 games is not good…seems worse than Veo. Trace seems to have some tracking issues too in some situations…last game only recorded about 75% of the game because it kept tracking non-ball items. Think it was because the field had some shade and some sunlight and it was kinda random with the trees on the sidelines.
