Issues with (2) GoPro 8 4ks

I have (2) GoPro Hero 8’s setup for this project, but I have 2 problems:

  1. the video is producing distortions and I am not sure why or how to prevent this. This is NOT a defect in the video itself and you dont see it in either video

  2. Is there a trick to sync’ing the video. Pressing the “align by audio” never seems to work. My next thought was to stand in the middle of the two cameras and hold up some sort of video on my phone so I could align it by that exact frame.

You can see the back half of my body is cut off. Is this just poor sync’ing by me?

Any suggestions?

Hello, After aling by audio if both video are not synced correctly, Use arrows to set the same frame on both video. After that click sync button and play both video together or use arrows again to see synced correctly or not. Finally click stitch button and set resolution and sound.

OK, I think I came up with an idea to foolproof syncing: I am using a countdown screen on my phone and adjusting it frame by frame. Seems to work.

However… I still have some ghosting along the point where the video is stiched. I uploaded a short clip to youtube.

Any ideas?

If you upload small part of both videos I can show you how to do that better. If you can prepare 1 minutes videos for both side you can upload youtube or google drive.

As you can see, the colors in the two videos are slightly different. If you want values ​​like Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation to be the same, you’ll need to record with the same ISO level on both devices. But this won’t usually be a problem when recording matches, as you’ll be recording outdoors.

Opposition club used the Pixellot air which costs thousands and a subscription and it had worst ghosting than actionstitch. Test, test and more testing and in the end you know what you need for a good stitch.
