License Issues with host name saying its on another computer

I’m having some trouble with the license. I get the error saying my license has expired so when I enter my license code it says that the license is already associated to another host. The host name on the license server matches my computer. I’ve tried switching the host name on the license server to some dummy name just to clear its memory and then copy my computer name back in but this did not fix the issue.

This seems to be a common issue, but none of the other solutions I’ve seen are solving it.

Any help would be great.

The host name should be the one returned by running the hostname command in Terminal. It can be different from the computer name.

I reset the host name of your license and now you should be able to activate the license without knowing the actual host name.
