As I understand it (I am not yet a user) you are supposed to setup your 2 identical cameras at mid-field and angled ~80 degrees apart, to get a wide 180-degree view of the field. But when you do this the far ends of the field will be both far-away and ‘distorted’ by the angle.
Could you instead setup the cameras apart from each by appr 1/3 the length of the field, and not angled to the side? In this way you would still see the entire width of the field but without the far-end distortion or as small/far-away. But I expect it would be much harder – if not impossible – to stitch the recordings together, in the middle.
Has this been considered or tried?
