Upload to YouTube?

Hi all. I’m a current XbotGo user that is extremely frustrated with their latest firmware update, and I am looking to make a change. I know for the most part the stitched videos are viewed in the native player, but is it possible to download to the cloud and then upload to YouTube?

Apologies if this is a common question. I used the search feature but didn’t find the answer.

This is a great question. You can actually upload stitched videos to YouTube in the VR180 format, so you can pan left/right while you’re watching, but you’ll have to inject spatial media meta to the video first: GitHub - google/spatial-media: Specifications and tools for 360º video and spatial audio.

I didn’t go down this route, mostly because it wasn’t clear if YouTube officially supports 8K videos. For instance: https://www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/18quw1h/does_youtube_not_support_8k_anymore/
