I tried to use remote by Telesin to start both GoPros and not very happy with it. Sometimes it takes forever to connect and it also provides status that both cameras are recording while one of them is not.
What do you use to start you cameras?
I personally just start them by hand and then push the tripod up to the top. Starting manually I am able to adjust the spot metering for proper exposure. That way I know everything is running properly. I have used my phone to verify that things are recording properly at times, but always manually start them by hand.

I just use my phone to start it. The range is very impressive.
Do you start them one by one?
I have 20 feet tripod and usually it take a minute or two to connect to GoPro from phone.
Normally turn them on, set exposure area, put tripod up and then start recording. Make a loud noise so camera sync well in action stitch.
