Xtu s6 4k camera compatability

Hello there. I am getting a xtu s6 4k action camera, and i am wondering if that would work for this program. It shoots in native 4k with a sensor of 1/2.5", dimensions 2.6"D x 1.73"W x 1.02"H. I looked at several reviews and video samples, the quality seems very decent for the price. Do you think it will be ok to use and what do i need to do to makenit work? I havent bought the program yet but i was seeing around that there are calibration files and want to know if there is anything special when i get the cameras that i need to do before i can test the program.

Thanks for the help in advance

It uses the same processor as the GAMSOD I recommended; just a smaller sensor. So I think it should work.

You can take a calibration video like https://download.actionstitch.com/calibration_sample.mp4 and send the video to me.

For the checkerboard, you can pick one from Calibration Checkerboard Collection | Mark Hedley Jones and show it on a big screen monitor or TV. When you take the video, make sure to move the camera around (to cover most screen area over time) but also pause at each position for a second (to remove blurriness).

Tha k you for the fast reply. I will post how it works in case anyone else wants to use this bidget camera.

I got the cameras and did a test and the GAMSOD did work perfectly. I stitched a short video together and will do a basketball game tomorrow. I downloaded the program but I see that the download page says that since it is beta testing that we don’t have to a license to use. After the 30 day trial will I then be asked for a license?

Yes, a license is required after the 30 day trial.

So you picked the GAMSOD camera model and the stitching was fine? That is interesting.

Yeah i chose the calibration you told me and it worked perfectly, thank you for the guidance. Here is a link to the video.
Do you have any fuether guidance to make it better? Or does it seem fine?

I think the video quality is quite good for such a low-cost camera. I would suggest tilting the mount forward a little bit so it points downward and covers more of the close area.

Yeah i saw that and i was thinking the same think. This was a test so i didnt fine adjust the angels or anything before recording.

Thank you for all your help as i am learning the program.
